Members and Friends:

The first year of my Presidency of the Watertown Foundation has come and gone in the blink
of an eye. I cannot tell you what an honor it is to work with such a dedicated group of people, single minded in their efforts to make a difference in the community.

I am pleased to report that the Watertown Foundation endowment finished the 2014 fiscal year at $2,854,334.00, and we awarded $107,500.00 in Grants and Scholarships this year. While not the largest awards made to date, I believe you as Members of the Watertown Foundation should be proud of what we are able to accomplish in our community year after year.

The Foundation has just completed a much-needed update and refresh of our website. With the
assistance of Mary Frances Czarsty, the new site, watertownfoundation.com, has just gone live within the last few weeks. Please visit and let us know your thoughts.

I would like to express my thanks to all of the members of the Board of Trustees and the Officers of the Foundation. Without their help and dedication, none of the Foundation’s work would be possible.

I would be remiss if I did not express my sincere thanks to Linda Merriman, Chairman, and the entire Scholarship Committee, and to Margaret Durkee, Chairman, and the Grants Committee for their hard work and dedication in making the hard decisions this year in making awards.

A special personal thank you to Paula Labonte and Susan Atkins without whose help I could not have made it through the year.

Finally, my heartfelt thanks to you, the Members of the Watertown Foundation for your continuing support. Together, we can and do make a difference.

Thank you,
Paul Jessell
