On Thursday, October 19, the Watertown Foundation will hold its 92nd annual meeting and dinner at the Watertown Golf Club.

Come learn how Hawk Ridge Winery came to be through a presentation by co-owners Vinny and Debra Giannetto and Jack and Michele McHugh.  These two families have been friends for more than twenty years when they met on the sidelines of a Watertown Blue Devils soccer game.  Although none of the principals are originally from Watertown, their roots now run deep through their connection to Hawk Ridge Winery.

The Watertown Foundation will honor the Richard C. Bozzuto family for their commitment to the Watertown community.  The evening will also feature a special acknowledgment of former State Senator Rob Kane.

The Watertown Foundation was established in 1925 by local residents who wished to enhance the quality of life in our community through charity. By combining their gifts and working together to invest their contributions and assess the community’s needs, the founding members began an extraordinary legacy that continues today.  In 2016, 20 students and 31 organizations benefitted from scholarships and grants totaling $109,500.

On October 19th, the business meeting for Watertown Foundation members will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a cocktail reception and dinner program for all attendees at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets are $50 each with a cash bar.  If you would like to receive an invitation or are interested in membership information, email  wtnfoundationct@gmail.com or call 860-274-2511.
